Because I have quite a lot of Kestrel (Torenvalk) shots, I rarely go out with the specific goal of framing it. Since it’s one of my favorite raptors however, of course I never let a chance go by of framing it when I can. Herewith some shots that I took over the last two months on several occasions and in several places… Highlight for me was capturing a male Kestrel when it dove for a prey – in a straight line down towards it. This goes very, very fast and a combination of quick reaction, the right camera settings and a bit luck (!) made for the shot…. So, sometimes even with often-photographed species you can get a new angle every now and then  😉
