It’s the time of year again when we have Sanderlings along our shorelines. Besides that they are a ‘convenient’ species for me (since I live at the coast), I am also very fond of them. Always busy, running up and down the shoreline in search for food. Over the last two weeks however, we had quite some differences in weather: from sunny, calm and warm days to stormy, overcast and unwelcoming ones. The effect on the shooting conditions is enormous, as you can tell from the pictures in this blog. It’s the same species, framed on the same stretch of beach. With the weather, the colors, textures and most importantly the feel change dramatically. Well, at least in my view 😉

Het is weer de tijd van het jaar waarin we Drieteenstrandlopers langs de kust hebben. Naast het feit dat het voor mij een ‘gemakkelijke’ soort is (ik woon bij de kust), ben ik ook gewoon gek op ze. Altijd druk, de vloedlijn op en neer rennend op zoek naar voedsel. De afgelopen weken hadden we nogal wat verschillende weertypes: van zonnige, rustige en warme dagen, tot stormachtige, bewolkte en onvriendelijke. Het effect daarvan op de foto-omstandigheden is enorm, zoals je kunt zien op de foto’s in dit blog. Het is dezelfde soort, geportretteerd op hetzelfde stuk strand. Met het weer veranderen ook de kleuren, texturen en meest van alles de sfeer behoorlijk. Nou ja, naar mijn idee in elk geval 😉
