Close to my home, a couple of Canada Geese is breeding. They have chosen a little island as their crib. While the female is on the nest, the male usually is nearby floating in the pond. Last week however, he decided to take a stroll. When I noticed him walking towards a stretch of Narcissuses on the meadow, I realized this may lead to some fun photo moments. Taking a low angle, I waited for the goose to cross the flower beds and was able to make some shots resembling an ‘in the clouds’ situation. Maybe he was already imagining his little Happy Family ?

Niet ver van mijn huis broedt een koppeltje Grote Canadese Ganzen. Ze hebben een klein eilandje gekozen als hun stekkie. Wanneer het vrouwtje op het nest zit, is het mannetje meestal in de buurt en dobbert rustig wat op de vijver. Vorige week besloot hij echter tot een wandelingetje. Toen ik hem richting wat perkjes met Narcissen zag gaan, bedacht ik me dat dit weleens wat grappig fotomomenten zou kunnen opleveren. Ik nam een laag standpunt in en wachtte tot de gans door het bloemperk zou gaan struinen. Zodoende kon ik enkele foto’s maken die doen denken aan een ‘hoofd in de wolken’ moment. Misschien zag hij zijn ‘Happy Family’ al voor zich ?
