Sometimes one has to spend hours in hiding, crawling and what have you to get the shot one wants. At other times, life’s much easier. While driving my car around the island of Texel, I noticed an unusual brown patch in the grass. At closer range it turned out to be a Common Snipe. Quite uncommon out in the open. So,  turned the car and slowly drove back. While the rain was pouring, I was sitting dry and comfortable while taking some shots. The lack of effort made it feel like taking some snapshots, but I was happy with the result 🙂 .

Soms moet je je uren schuilhouden, kruipen of weet ik wat om het plaatje te krijgen dat je wilt. Op andere momenten is het leven een stuk gemakkelijker. Rijdend over het eiland (Texel), viel mij opeens een wat ongebruikelijke bruine vlek op in het gras. Toen ik dichterbij kwam bleek het een Watersnip te zijn. Toch wel apart, zo in het volle zicht. Ik keerde, en reed voorzichtig weer terug. Terwijl het gezellig regende, zat ik droog en comfortabel terwijl ik wat foto’s nam. Het gebrek aan inspanning maakte dat het een beetje voelde als snapshots maken, maar ik was toch wel blij met het resultaat 🙂 .
