One of the new species for me during my stay in Florida was the White Ibis. Incredibly present, almost everywhere one can see them. As with so many birds: the longer you look, the more you notice the details. And what a fantastic details this bird has. Of course, there’s the white and the red – already a striking combination. But then, there’s this wonderful blue eye – which complements so nicely the background in case of an azure-colored sea…. I could go on like this, but maybe it’s better to let the pictures speak for themselves. Have fun !

Eén van de nieuwe soorten voor mij, tijdens mijn verblijf in Florida, was de Witte Ibis. Onwaarschijnlijk aanwezig, bijna overal duikt hij wel op. En, zoals met zoveel vogels: hoe langer je kijkt, hoe meer details je ziet. En wat een details heeft deze vogel. Natuurlijk, er is het wit en er is het rood – op zich al een geweldige combinatie. Maar dan is er ook nog dat prachtige blauwe oog – en dat past zo mooi tegen een azuurblauwe zee…. Ik kan nog wel even zo doorgaan, maar wellicht een beter idee om de foto’s maar voor zich te laten spreken. Veel plezier !
