Yesterday I went for a day in the province of Zeeland. The weather wasn’t that good: cloudy, some snow and a very cold wind. A lot of birds however, some of them you can see in the slideshow. One of the highlights was a Kestrel that caught a small mouse in front of our lenses and ate in three of four big gulps. No tearing it apart, just “glop”.. Also we met a sick and probably dying Red -breasted Merganser , which was sad.. Also I was able to add several new species to my list. Normally I would have stayed indoors on a day like this, but as you can see it was rewarding to go out ;-). And thanks to Menno for planning the trip !
