Burrowing Bonanza

Currently I am on a short trip to the United States, and am spending some days in Utah. Last year I had made some nice images of Burrowing Owls (Holenuil) that I wanted to improve on, however my bird-photographer-colleague Ron Dudley told me that they were not at their usual spot this year. So things looked bad, until I got a last minute email from him with a new place where I might have some better luck. Some 2 hour drive from Salt Lake City, I found several burrows that had dwellers in (and on top) of them, and after an initial wait till sunrise, slowly the birds got more active. Well see for yourself, but there’s plenty of shots I am more than happy with ๐Ÿ™‚ . When the light got too harsh around 9 a.m. I decided to call it a day ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

  1. Hey Hans,
