Since a while two Common Eiders (Eidereend) are hanging around in the Scheveningen Harbor. When I saw them today, it was feeding time. Nice to see them dive for food, mainly crab. But what a struggle …. It seems quite a hassle to eat these little crabs. For several minutes at a time the ducks are working on it, often throwing the crab away and diving after it again. The longest time I clocked (based on my exif data) was almost 10 minutes 😉 ……

Toch leuke beelden om te zien hoe deze Eider worstelt met zijn maaltijdje. Helaas niet het Hans Overduin standpunt, daarvoor had je natuurlijk je waadpak aan moeten hebben. 🙂
Volgende keer weer echte sfeer plaatjes met een fijn standpunt hè?
