Spring is slowly coming, or so it seems. At least the Great Crested Grebes (Fuut) are starting to perform their courting rituals. They seem to prefer one of the darker parts of the ponds here in the forest. Not so good for taking pictures, on the other hand it gives some room for experimenting with exposure and ‘low key’ post processing. This is still the first part of the courting ritual: ‘head shaking’. For the moment, they leave it at this, The male doesn’t seem that interested anyway. Playing hard to get, I assume 😉
