Easy Shooting

Ferruginous Duck (male)

Today started with overcast skies. Still I wanted to go outside for some fresh air and shootings, but needed a ‘slow’ subject – this way I could work with lower shutter speeds. Hence: Owls and Ducks. First I visited some Long-eared Owls (Ransuil) that were resting in a tree. After that I decided to check up some Ferruginous Ducks (Witoogeend), of which a couple had been spotted since weeks in a suburb of Alphen a/d Rijn. They were there fore sure, and made for some nice shots… After all this happened suddenly the sun came out – but by then, my shooting time was over ๐Ÿ™ ……

Update: at the and of the day I had another ‘easy shooting’ on a rare species: a Glaucous Gull (Grote Burgemeester) was willing to get photographed by me at the local harbor !

  1. Hallo Hans,

Prachtige beelden weer zeg. Niks mis met de scherpte nu ๐Ÿ˜›

Lekker met zo’n laag standpunt genomen weer (behalve de Ransuil dan…hahahaha).
