The last two months I have had an exhibition in the Bolinas Museum (California). A first timer for me in the United States, and a great project to work on. To include the active local community of birders, photographers and artists, the curator (Dieter Tremp) came up with the idea of having me propose an initial 50 images. Ten of those would be selected finally by this team of ‘judges’ (Patricia Briceno, Ryan DiGaudio, Megan Elrod, Geoff Geupel, Keith Hansen, Catherine Hickey, Steve Howell, Janet Kjelmyr, Ewan Macdonald, Ed Musante, Piro Patton, Peter Pyle, and Mike Sell) with a focus on esthetics. After receiving the selection, I had the images printed on HD Metal, overhere in The Netherlands. At the printer I checked them myself for quality, and then had them shipped by UPS to the Museum. On September 26th I attended the opening reception and the project had become reality. Proud 😉 ! Herewith I would like to thank all involved, making this a succes !

De afgelopen twee maanden heb ik een expositie gehad in het Bolinas Museum (Californië). Voor mij de eerste keer in de Verenigde Staten, en een mooi project om aan te werken. Om de actieve locale vogelaars, fotografen en kunstenaars te betrekken, kwam de curator (Dieter Tremp) met het idee dat ik 50 foto’s zou voorstellen. Hiervan zouden er dan uiteindelijk tien worden geselecteerd door de ‘jury’ (Patricia Briceno, Ryan DiGaudio, Megan Elrod, Geoff Geupel, Keith Hansen, Catherine Hickey, Steve Howell, Janet Kjelmyr, Ewan Macdonald, Ed Musante, Piro Patton, Peter Pyle, and Mike Sell) met de nadruk op esthetiek. Nadat ik die selectie had ontvangen, heb ik de foto’s hier in Nederland laten printen op HD Metal. Bij de printer heb ik deze op kwaliteit gecheckt , en vervolgens met UPS naar het museum gestuurd. Op 26 september bezocht ik dan uiteindelijk de opening en was de expositie een feit. Trots 😉 ! Hierbij dank aan allen die hebben geholpen er een succes van de maken !
