One of the birds that has given me most headaches over the last weeks is the Ring Ouzel. Seen everywhere, by everyone … except by me. “Ring Ouzel? There were two here ten minutes ago”. And so on. In some weeks most will be on their way again, so I really wanted to see one. This morning I went back to see if yesterday’s rarety was still present – but the Woodchat Shrike seemed to have left. Besides having a nice view on the skyline of Den Haag (The Hague), and some nice Nortern Wheatear, I finally could record my first sighting of the Ring Ouzel. A little shy, but fortunately I could take a picture. Mission completed 😉
