Some birds are not that easy to find and/or to frame… Today I went back to a place I visited last year to check for the Long-eared Owl (Ransuil): it was there – in the same tree as last year. It proved to be a little tense unfortunately – so after some minutes I decided to leave it alone. On my way back home I noticed a Green Woodpecker (Groene Specht) in a field along the road, so pulled over and shot this one through a fence, but due to the DOF ,  you can hardly tell ? Feels like some magic having these two ‘unusual’ species in one day !
