The last couple of days I tried to find a new species, the Mediterranean Gull (Zwartkopmeeuw), which seems to show itself to everyone, except for me … In any case, on one of my expeditions this led me to the Kestrel’s nest again, and just as we arrived the young ones were stretching their wings for a first flight! Funny and scary at the same time, but a great moment to watch, even if we missed the take-of itself by seconds. One seemed to hold on the blue building site net, not sure where to fly next. They all do well by the way. Also in the dunes today I found nothing special, but some all-time favorites (Great Spotted Woodpecker and Common Whitethroat) worked along….
