This blog contains only one shot as you can see. Not often I venture out with the exact shot I want to make already in mind. As you have seen in previous blogs, I had several opportunities for framing the Glossy Ibises (Zwarte Ibis). But not in flight. Since the birds spend the night always on the same island, close to a bird watching hide, I imagined this would be a good place to wait for them to return from their feeding grounds. Also I thought that with a bit of luck I could frame them against the reeds as a backdrop. All went according to plan. I was at the hide around 5pm and after only a 10 minute wait, the Ibises came flying in, and I was able to press the shutter two times, framing one bird exactly as I had in mind. I could use more of these efficient shootings I guess 😉 ….

In dit blog slechts één foto. Het gebeurt niet vaak dat ik op pad ga met een zeer specifiek beeld in gedachten. Al een aantal malen kon ik de Zwarte Ibissen fotograferen, maar altijd aan de grond. Aangezien ze elke nacht terugkeren naar hetzelfde eilandje, nabij een vogelijkhut, bedacht ik dat dit wel eens een goed moment kon zijn om ze in vlucht te fotograferen. Bij voorkeur met de rietkraag als achtergrond. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan. Om vijf uur was ik in de hut en nog geen tien minuten later kwamen ze aanzeilen, en kon ik één van het groepje fotograferen, precies zoals ik in gedachten had. Tweemaal afdrukken en toen was het moment alweer voorbij. Zou vaker zo efficiënt moeten gaan 😉 ….
