… Also known as Snow Bunting. One of those birds that I always find a treat to watch and frame. Most of the time they are pretty busy, searching for food. We only get to see them as winter visitors overhere in The Netherlands. Sometimes on a short-stay basis, sometimes they hang around the same spot for weeks. Last Monday I could combine a business lunch with a short visit to these nice buntings. Within a short timeframe, I was able to get quite some different images. Okay, I already had seen them on Helgoland last October, but it’s always fun to see them on your home turf as well !

… Ook wel bekend als de Sneeuwgors. Eén van die vogels waarbij het elke keer weer leuk is om ze te zien en te fotograferen. Meestal zijn het drukke, actieve beestjes, op zoek naar voedsel. Wij krijgen ze hier in Nederland alleen te zien in de winter, als gast. Soms boeken ze een kort verblijf, maar soms blijven ze wel weken op dezelfde plek hangen. Afgelopen maandag kon ik een zakenlunch combineren met een kort bezoek aan deze leuke gorsjes. In een vrij kort tijdsbestek kon ik aardig wat verschillende opnames maken. Okay, ik had ze al gezien op Helgoland, afgelopen oktober, maar het is altijd leuk om ze ook op eigen bodem te zien !
