My hometown is not the usual place for rare species. Today however a Common Rosefinch (Roodmus) was sighted, so this afternoon we went to have a look. It was there for sure, loudly singing and claiming it’s presence. For pictures it was far from ideal: the bird stayed high up in the trees, often hiding under the canopy. Well, sometimes ‘evidence shots’ can be just as nice to come home with 😉  ….
