Although at the time I write this the snowflakes are whirling around the house, this male Cormorant obviously had other things in mind last week. The white feathers on the crown, neck and thigh show that this bird is ready for Spring. Or at least doing its best to impress the females. I’m not sure whether he mistook me for someone else or not, but he was showing himself nicely 😉 .

Hoewel de sneeuwvlokken rond het huis dwarrelen terwijl ik dit schrijf, had dit mannetje Aalscholver hele andere ideeën vorige week. De witte veren op de kruin, nek en dij laten zien dat hij al klaar is voor de lente. Of tenminste bezig indruk te maken op de vrouwtjes. Ik ben er niet zeker van of hij me wellicht voor iemand anders aanzag, maar hij toonde zichzelf in elk geval in volle glorie 😉 .
