Many people associate the people from Cape Verde with music ! And correctly so, since there’s music everywhere. When taking the ferryboat from Sao Vincente to San Antao many musicians were on board and played for the duration of the passage – a truly fantastic experience! On the bird front, you can see some Plovers and two birds we met for the first time: the Iago Sparrow (Kaapverdische Mus) and the Hoopoe Lark (Witbandleeuwerik). Problem with the lark was the distance and the high temps, causing the air to tremble – making sharp shots virtually impossible. Still it was fun watching it catching and eating the insect 😉 . Oh yes, since we arrived home our “Town Buzzard” has presented itself everyday, however shy as ever …. 🙁 .

Gelukkig heb je nog genoeg vogels gezien. De typische Kaapverdische Mus….die is toch ook wel mooi. Net als de Witbandleeuwerik die er erg mooi opstaat met een laag standpunt genomen (in je korte broek 😉
Dan als welkom thuis kado staat de Buizerd gewoon weer op je te wachten. Hij is al behoorlijk aan je gewend.
Wens je nog een fijne jaarwisseling en een gelukkig en gezond 2013. We zien elkaar vast snel weer.

Maar ook de buizerd dichtbij huis heb je er fantastisch op staan.
Grappig dat er op kaapverdië ook van die leuke drieteenstrandlopers zijn. Ik verwachtte die daar niet zo snel.
