When our neighbor, a.k.a. Queen Beatrix, celebrates her birthday, the guards are dressed more formal than normal. Also there’s a real Change of the Guards every now and then. And some people stop by to bring gifts and flowers… See for yourself. By the way, this will be the last time that Queen Beatrix will celebrate her birthday in this palace, since she will step down april 30th, 2013. Next year King Willem Alexander will be the lucky one that the gifts and flowers delivered at this gate are for !
