Winter Weather

White Storks (Ooievaar) in the snow

Since last Monday we have had snowfall. In the city this creates a mess, and it makes cycling a dangerous adventure. Nature however changes immediately for the better with some snow: wintery landscapes and frozen waters. However, for most of our feathered friends these are hard times. Food is difficult to find (if at all) and those birds who rely on getting their food from the waters (Kingfisher, Grebes etc.) are having even more trouble. Let’s hope for them than the temperatures will be back to normal soon. In this blog some of the shots I made over the last few days, during short field trips.
